OH HOW I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!
There is no other day like it all year long... It is probably one of my favoritest things in life. Our cmas was really nice this year. We spent Cmas eve working and then cooking for Sean's family. We then spent the evening watching elf and eating lots of yummy desserts, sean's cousin brought over.
Then Christmas day, Sean and I had a fun morning waking up to the lit tree in our trailer, getting ready to have a day filled with joy. We headed up to my sister's place at like 9am. My mother and sister prepared a delicious big cmas breakfast. We had my mom's famous egg strata with bacon and sausage, monkey bread, and coffee cake. It was to die for. We then opened stockings and gifts. Around noon, we loaded in the cars and headed to L.A to celebrate at my grandparents with cousins and extended family. It was filled with a white elephant gift exchange, tasty food, annual football game,(which the Walker, Gentzkow, Lazaro, Piezonka team Conquered the Abels this year and got to take home the MIMI trophy), more games and carols.. My grandparents are the cutest.. always have it all planned out.
Always entertaining..
Well now Christmas is over and have high hopes for 2009. This is a year of change and growth and We are so excited to see what it brings. Love you all.. hope you had a wonderful christmas and an amazing new year!!

Progressive DInner with BESTIES!!

The weekend before Cmas, all of us best girlfriends from PLNU, got together and had an amazing Cmas Progressive dinner. We traveled to 4 houses. Started in Point Loma at our old palace where we used to all live. We had appetizers at one place then moved on to have caprese and pizza, then pasta for dinner and last dessert and games. It was so fun. It took a little bit longer than expected, and didn't eat dinner til 10pm.. but we all enjoyed ourselves and it was a really fun idea, especially since 3 of the couples live downtown. So festive and fun. We are so blessed to have such amazing friends.. And i adore all the husbands that my best friend's chose.. they all get along so well! Nothing better than friends, food, wine and fun

MIRACLES STILL EXIST!!

At 10:25am this morning, I recieved a phone call from Sean stating, that the MD just called the waiting room to speak with Bob. It was great news!!!
They neurosurgeon said that it was the best case he has ever seen! MIRACLES STILL EXIST!
The tumor was very soft tissue and therefore they were able to remove the ENTIRE tumor without complications!!
They are finished removing the tumor and now are just sewing her back up.
The procedure was supposed to take 5+ hours, but it looks like it will be done very soon
I will continue to update as we know more, but for now.. IT IS WONDERFUL NEWS!!
Thank you for all your prayers.
We love all of you,
Brianne

Our sweet friend Carol- the first snow in NYC for the year!

Last thursday we left for our big vacation to NYC. We were there for 6 days and it was non-stop FUN! We had a great time staying with one of my old roomates, Carol, who now lives in Brooklyn. Carol is an interior designer and she lives with 3 other girls from San Diego in a cozy apartment in Brooklyn, NY. She was so sweet and let us stay in her room the whole week. Well we had a wonderful time walking the cmas decorated streets. We shopped, ate great food, went to shows and took an adventure to upstate NY for a one night stay.

Up in New Paltz, NY there is a historical monument called the "Mohonk Mountain House". Sean and i found out about it after we already planned our trip to NYC, so once we researched to see how we could get there for a day or so.

This place was AMAZING. Sean took some awesome pictures of it, but it doesn't even give the grandness of this place. It was one of the prettiest places we have ever been to. It was so nice to leave the hustle and bustle of the city and stay one night in a serene captivating resort.

Sean and I celebrated many things on this trip. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary, my birthday, Christmas, and of course an anniversary of when Sean proposed to me.

The last day we were in NY, we walked through central park and Sean put me out on the rock he proposed to me, and told me that, asking me to marry him was by far the best and most important decision he has ever made. I about melted again in his arms. We are so in love and this trip helped us recap all the fun we have had to together and continue to have.

There really is nothing like NY at Christmastime.
You feel so full of life and spirited for the season.

Besides the spirited decor, there were two very Spirited by God things that happened on our trip. The first encounter was at the mtn house.

During the afternoon they have tea time.. everyone gathers around and drinks tea by the fire. While we were sipping on tea we met this group of people. Ends up, that they were believers and that their were so many ties to us with baylor connections and corpus christi ties... anyways we continued to chat and found out that they were launching a bible study and they told us that they would pray for us this year in their bible study. It was so divine how God works!!

The second God thing was during the Radio City show, the last scene was a live nativity scene and they read Jesus' birth from the bible. It was so cool that they weren't being PC, and just doing a holiday show, but they kept to the true meaning of CHRISTmas!

Well, as we move closer to the special day, may us all remember the true meaning of christmas everyday. It is so hard not to be distracted by our consuming society, but our prayer is that we will all continue to celebrate the precious birth of our Savior.

Its beginning to look alot like Christmas!!

Christmas '08(hahaha-we are so cheesy)

Watch out griswalds.. Sean is pretty into it.
I LOVE CHRISTMASTIME!!
Many of my closest friends call me "Mrs. Claus" this time of year, because I get so excited to spread the christmas cheer. What other time of year is more cheery then Christmastime? Although stressful and emotional for some, me included, it is such a wonderful time to appreciate your friends and family. But, the most important of all is that our Savior was born. This year Sean and I are starting a new tradition of Prayer Advent. We are putting 25 things to pray for over the next 25 days. Tonight we are sitting and writing simple phrases or people's names on pieces of paper and putting them in a cookie jar so that we can pull one out each day and pray for our country, friends, family, future, eachother....
Christmas would be so dry without the true meaning of Christmas.
Well this past weekend we got out all of my christmas tubs and decked the halls of the trai trai.. and Sean tried to compete with "Christmas Vacation" for the outside of the trailer.. I love how i love decorating the inside.. while sean gets sooo excited to put up the lights and design new surprises.

Surf bums- Andy and Seanny

Every year, the Walkers, go to San Elijo for the week of thanksgiving. It is a great tradition. The weather was really nice and it was so fun to spend quality time with friends and family. Its the perfect atmosphere to really appreciate your friends and family and the beautiful city we live in.
Sean and I had fun surfing, riding bikes, taking walks, playing yatzee, and eating smores by the fire. Some of our best friends, Andrew and Cheri came up last weekend and the boys surfed while us girls went on a walk to starbucks. It was great fun.. Thanksgiving day was awesome.. We spent the morning with my family, then ate in the afternoon with the Walkers and rest of the clan. Although it rained some of the days.. it cleared up to be a gorgeous day on thanksgiving. We want to continue the tradition with our family someday.
Nothing better than enjoying the sunshine during thanksgiving!

Brianne's 25th Birthday!

Two Mondays ago, November 17th, I turned a quarter of a century old! It seemed like an ordinary day by working all day, but my extraordinary husband surprised me when we got home. We pulled up to the trailer and the stair case and porch was decorated with balloons. As I got closer to the door, i heard bday music playing and when i walked in i was greeted with 2 dozen yellow roses, funfetti cake and cupcakes( my fav, and handmade by sean on his lunch break) an adorable card and pretty neclace.. We then got dressed up and went to a delicious italian restraunt downtown. It was a relaxing evening with scrumptious food and tasty wine.
I am so blessed to have Sean in my life and look forward to the many more years we get to spend together. Later in the week I also celebrated with the my sister and mom and with all the rest of my bestest girlfriends. It was a week filled with celebration. I am so blessed!

Spanxgiving!

Every year the Invisible Children/CYT crew get together for a mock thanksgiving... called SPANXGIVING!! It is fun filled with turkey and all the tasty sides. Everyone brings their favorite dish. 2 years ago, sean and I decided it would be funny to dress up as pilgrims and indians... Noone else dressed up, but we thought we would start a new fun trend.. Well it caught on and last year everyone dressed up that way.. and this year's theme was norman rockwell/40's and 50's. It was very fun to sit and enjoy a wonderful meal with some of our dearest friends. So thankful.. so Spankful!!

THANKFUL.

As we enter November we just wanted to let everyone know how much we love you and are so thankful for you.
Without all your love, support, and prayer we would not have nor be the people we are today!
As some of you know, Sean's mom has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. As of yet, we have no details.. More to come soon. Please check out the blog I made for Laura. It will keep a close tab on all the details to come.
But most of all we just are so thankful we have a common faith in our Lord and Savior. He guides our every step. Thank you for being such an intricate part of our lives in shaping us to love God and eachother.
We have hope because of who God is.
We have thankful hearts because of what God has done for us.
Thank you again for everything.

80's rockstars (jamie and chris)

oh bleaker.. i sure want a bite of your delicious hot pocket.

Friday, October 31st was very fun this year.
First it was Sean's bday so that was really fun celebrating his day.. but also because I threw a fun spooky dinner down at my old house.. All our favorite people were there and it was a great time of laughing at eachother's costumes and eating yummy food.
It consisted of juno and bleaker(thats us). Great movie if you havent seen it. Once you see it you will think we did a pretty good job with our costumes!! hehee..
We secretly won the costume contest but felt bad accepting since it was our party.. so runner ups were Sean's sister and bro-n-law, jamie and Chris. They dressed as 80 rock stars.. and it was soo funny!
Well i hope you halloween was filled with as good of memories as ours.
We love ya!! and if you know juno lingo.. that fo shizz is no food baby its the real deal!
