My cousin Brooke Abel is an Amazing Olympic Athlete.
Last friday night we all gathered at my cousin's house in honor of her to celebrate the Opening Ceremonies of the 2008 Olympic Games. What an amazing opening ceremony! My jaw was dropped the entire 3.5 hours. The creativity involved was breathtaking! I had goosebumps the entire night. I couldnt believe my baby cousin brooky was really there! She is the best of the Best! She was walking in those steps who have won GOLD! She called us while she was in China and it was crazy to hear her voice. Brooke is the sweetest girl you will ever know. She doesnt have one evil bone in her. When playing other sports or family board games, she could care less about winning and more about just having a great time. We were always the ones in the corner just cracking up. Brooke Abel is only 20 years old and she has earned her spot on the Olympic Sychronized swimming team! She is the youngest on the team! She grew up in LA and now lives in Walnut Creek with a teammate.
Please root her on while she competes for the Gold! She should be performing on Friday, August 22nd at around 1 pm. And then again on Saturday Aug 23rd around 1030am. Please tune in and cheer the US on!!
I love the Olympics.. It is such a great time of year to just join with those you love and feel soo proud of those who have worked soo hard to represent your country!
